Giving Tuesday | Why It's Important

Welcome to #GivingTuesday! While many people rush the lines at department stores in order to make major purchases on items for the holidays, Giving Tuesday is a day where you are suppose to reflect on those far less fortunate than you or I.

#GivingTuesday harnesses the potential of social media and the generosity of people around the world to bring about real change in their communities; it provides a platform for them to encourage the donation of time, resources and talents to address local challenges.

It also brings together the collective power of a unique blend of partners— nonprofits, civic organizations, businesses and corporations, as well as families and individuals—to encourage and amplify small acts of kindness.

As a global movement, #GivingTuesday unites countries around the world by sharing our capacity to care for and empower one another.

The Blessing Bag Program is pleased to be part of this community effort and we would ask you, the community to help us meet our annual budget by making a small tax deductible donation.

Our discounted cost to make a Blessing Bag is now $2.59.

When you donate $5, you're helping to make 2 Blessing Bags. When you donate $10, your helping to make 4, you get the idea.

Is the director of the Blessing Bag Program which started in 2016.
